With no wireless security activated on your home network, data can be intercepted with little difficulty, and the home network and Internet connection are open to intrusion. They run the risk of identities being stolen, bank accounts being cleaned out by hackers, computers being hijacked, precious data being deleted or stolen. WPA2 protects your data and privacy with up to 256-bit industrial-strength encryption.
• A powerful Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) Firewall and Internet Policy to protect your PCs against intruders and • most known Internet attacks. It also supports VPN pass-through, and can be configured to filter internal users' access to the Internet.

Please note that enacting wireless encryption is only part of a complete solution, which should include anti-virus/spam software loaded on your PC. Wireless security is like the fence around your yard – it deters unwanted intruders, but you still need to lock your windows and doors for greatest security. Similarly, wireless security will protect you from intruders entering your PC via your wireless network, but security software will protect you from malicious email and Internet sites.

Service Guarantee

The nTelos-provided router enables wireless coverage to devices within a 150-foot radius, within limits imposed by the home's construction, such as interior metal or masonry walls. nTelos provides 24/7 technical support and remote troubleshooting as part of the monthly service. nTelos will replace a faulty or defective router, within normal abuse guidelines. Routers damaged through use other than normal wear and tear are not covered.

One time installation charge is $85/hour and usually requires one hour with owner present. Minimum installation is $42.50. Additional installations are quoted at $85/hour. Service is available to nTelos broadband (DSL and Broadband XL) customers.
